Because the Emergency Room can be a fast-paced, patient-sensitive area, family and friends are typically asked to wait in the reception area while you are being treated. Some exceptions to this will be allowed, including during the treatment of small children. Our admitting and nursing staff is happy to work with you and your family to best accommodate everyone involved in your case.
Our Emergency Department is staffed at all times by registered nurses as well as certified nursing assistants. Our nurses hold certificates in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, have training in neonatal resuscitation and are specialized in the care and management of trauma victims. Our Emergency physicians are all board certified. All our emergency staff also have certification in Basic Life Support and Crisis Prevention Intervention. We have registered nurses who are board certified in Emergency care as well as SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners).
Gritman Medical Center's Emergency Services accepts all patients, regardless of your ability to pay for hospital emergency services. We offer financial assistance to those who qualify.
