Annual Red Skirt Scamper set for Feb. 23

MOSCOW — Put on a red dress and hit the road for the 13th Annual Red Skirt Scamper 5K Run/Walk, Saturday, Feb. 23.

Registration forms are available here, Gritman Therapy Solutions, the Martin Wellness Center or on the day of the event. Free t-shirts will be given to the first 100 registrants.

Runners and walkers will gather inside the Ross entrance of the Palouse Mall in Moscow the morning of the event. Same day registration begins at 8:15 a.m. Registration is free but donations will be accepted. All funds raised will go towards scholarships to Gritman’s Cardiac Rehab program and the Martin Wellness Center.

The run is an outdoors, out-and-back route heading north on Sheep Road. The Red Skirt Scamper 5K Run/Walk begins at 9 a.m. and prizes will be awarded at approximately 10:15 a.m. for the best red dress, best-dressed kid, best-dressed dog, and more.

February is American Heart month and Gritman Medical Center is celebrating by continuing the tradition of the Red Skirt Scamper to raise awareness about heart disease.
