MFM welcomes new family physician

Dr. Jessica Bonnett is joining Gritman Medical Center’s Moscow Family Medicine Westside clinic after having served for nearly a decade in Redding, California, where she completed her residency and then practiced at the Redding Family Medical Group, serving 2,000 patients ranging from newborn to elderly.

Dr. Bonnett places an emphasis on establishing lasting relationships with her patients and their families.

“I’ve met the grandma, the mom and their kids and so I have quite a few families where I take care of two or three generations,” she said. “I am excited to work with that full scope of family ages where you get to know the family as well.”

Dr. Bonnett is one of five physicians being added at Moscow Family Medicine. MFM is also welcoming Dr. Jacques M. Bouchard and Dr. Meghan Kusko at the downtown clinic, Dr. Jacob Christensen at University of Idaho Student Health and Dr. Thomas Sprinkle at QuickCARE. New medical leadership has also been added: Practice Administrator Larinda Valdon and Director of Nursing Carolyn Allen.

Dr. Bonnett, certified by the American Academy of Family Practice Board, believes in focusing on preventative care and staying healthy.

“Spending five minutes talking about calories, exercise and sugar intake now to prevent diabetes or other issues down the road is so important,” she said.

Dr. Bonnett completed her undergraduate work at Saint Mary’s College before earning her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in 2010 at Touro University in Vallejo, California

She comes to Moscow with her husband and their three young boys.

“We are really hoping to make this our new permanent home,” she says.

Dr. Bonnett is now accepting new patients. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call 208-882-2011.
