Since its founding the Gritman Foundation has extended Gritman’s mission to help make our area a healthy, vibrant place to live. Our top funding priorities empower us with the resources to focus on the things that matter most.
The Strategic Priorities Fund is devoted to improving the ability to diagnose and treat disease by investing in advanced technology. Evaluated and developed on a three-year cycle, this fund helps Gritman address the greatest needs in the hospital and our community.

Janie Nirk, of Potlatch, has been a leader in philanthropy throughout our community, showing support through gifts of time, talent and treasure. She has jump-started funding for the Gritman Imaging project by agreeing to match the first $60,000 donated.
In 2010, Janie and her late husband, Ron Nirk, led the charge in giving––focused on Gritman’s Martin Wellness Center: a community-wide resource for wellness activities. Janie often refers to this project as one of their greatest accomplishments and is proud to lead the way on the new Diagnostic Imaging project supporting the health and wellness of our region.
