Since its founding the Gritman Foundation has extended Gritman’s mission to help make our area a healthy, vibrant place to live. Our top funding priorities empower us with the resources to focus on the things that matter most.
The Strategic Priorities Fund is devoted to improving the ability to diagnose and treat disease by investing in advanced technology. Evaluated and developed on a three-year cycle, this fund helps Gritman address the greatest needs in the hospital and our community.
The Janie Nirk Challenge kicked off in the fall of 2018 when long-time Gritman volunteer and philanthropist, Janie Nirk, pledged to match the first $60,000 donated to purchase a state-of-the-art echocardiogram machine.
The challenge was set to run for six months but was completed early thanks to the support of our donors and a generous $32,200 capstone personal donation from Ed and Beatriz Schweitzer.
The Gritman Foundation extends its gratitude to each one of you who donated, participated in, and spread the word about this challenge. Your efforts truly show what it means to be a community. Thank you for your continued support of Gritman Medical Center.
