2019 Pink Tea/Pink Cocktail

Help us knock out cancer

The Pink Tea and Pink Cocktail events are the Gritman Foundation’s largest fundraisers in support of cancer care services throughout our region. These events support a great cause and have a longstanding history. Funds raised at both events support Gritman Medical Center in providing cancer care resources to our region, including the purchase of a hematology analyzer as well as providing financial and educational resources for cancer patients. These services are all provided through the Gritman Cancer Care Fund, which includes the Light a Candle Program and Bosom Buddies Program.

This is your one-stop shop for information on being a table captain for this year’s event, contributing as a corporate sponsor or if you cannot attend but would still like to support the cause!

FAQs

The Pink Tea and Pink Cocktail events are two of Moscow’s premier fundraising events, hosted by the Gritman Foundation. Continuing the tradition set forth by the vision of former first lady of Idaho, Patricia Kempthorne, our efforts to provide early breast cancer detection through free screening mammograms have reached more than 1,000 women in our area. In recent years, we’ve challenged the community to think beyond pink and we extended cancer support services to all who have been touched by cancer.

The event programs do not differ but different menus and gifts are offered at each event.

Pink Tea: Tuesday, Oct. 22
10 a.m. — 11 a.m. (no social hour)
Bruce M. Pitman Center, International Ballroom (709 Deakin Ave, Moscow, ID)

This year, donations go to the Cancer Care Fund. This fund supports the Gritman Foundation Light a Candle Program, the Bosom Buddies Program, and allows us to purchase new equipment for cancer care services. We are excited to raise funds to purchase a new hematology analyzer for our lab! This machine is critical in the diagnosis and care of cancer patients.

100% of funds raised at these events go directly back to supporting patients in our region.

Table captains are individuals who are passionate about cancer care. They are responsible for decorating a table, filling their table with 10 people, and are often advocates for Gritman Medical Center programs and resources.

You do not need to have a table captain to attend the Pink Tea or Pink Cocktail. We can place you at a table!

As we look forward to welcoming Oncology services to Moscow on Aug. 1, we need your help to raise $120,000 supporting the purchase of a hematology analyzer for our laboratory.

Hematology studies are essential in treating cancer and maintaining patient health and quality of life during treatment. This piece of equipment will allow our laboratory to provide state-of-the-art care to our community; preforming more than 140,000 tests each year. This equipment has the ability to perform 200 complete blood counts (CBC) per hour supporting the health of cancer patients throughout our region.
