MOSCOW — To raise funds for local cancer patients, the Gritman Foundation Light a Candle program has teamed up with the University of Idaho for Cancer Awareness Games.
The Gritman Foundation is selling black game day T-shirts for $10 each as a fundraiser. All proceeds from the T-shirt sales go to the Light a Candle program, supporting local cancer patients by providing services to ease some of the burdens that come with a cancer diagnosis.
Kickoff for the UI Football Cancer Awareness Game against the Portland State Vikings is 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 29 at the UI Kibbie Dome.
The UI Women’s Soccer Cancer Awareness Game will be against Eastern Washington University on Oct. 7 at 1 p.m. at the UI Kibbie Dome.
On Oct. 19, UI Women’s Volleyball will take on the University of Northern Colorado at 7 p.m. for their Cancer Awareness Game at Memorial Gym.
