Gritman Medical Center Auxiliary raises over $16,000 for equipment purchases in hospital, regional clinics

Following the success of December’s Holiday Delights event, the Gritman Auxiliary Departmental Grant Awards totaled $16,402.35 for new equipment purchases at the hospital and regional clinics.

This year seven different departments received funds to purchase needed equipment supporting the health and wellness of our community. Among the items purchased were fitness equipment for the Martin Wellness Center and medical supplies for the Troy and Kendrick clinics.

In addition to putting in roughly 7,000 volunteer hours each year, the Auxiliary has been supporting equipment purchases through the Holiday Delights fundraiser since 1968. The very first purchase was an exam table for the emergency room.

A special thank you goes out to those who helped in the selection process for the grant awards, including Carolyn Strong, Janie Nirk, Marcia Parish, Judy Tunnicliff, Mary Wood and Sharon Benson.
