Gritman’s COVID-19 Hotline integrates a new, mobile-ready assessment tool

Anyone concerned they may have COVID-19 can now text “COVID19” to 208-295-5080 to receive a link to Gritman Medical Center’s new online assessment tool.

The assessment evaluates your symptoms, travel history and potential exposure to infected patients, as well as other demographic data, to determine whether a COVID-19 test is warranted. These factors are aligned with the latest guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

If the screening tool determines you are at risk, you will automatically be added to a queue monitored by our trained nurses on our new Gritman COVID-19 Hotline. You will receive a return call for further evaluation, and you may then be directed to one of our screening tents or one of our clinics using telehealth technology to visit with a doctor and medical providers.

“This technology allows our medical team to screen and assess more people in our community and make sure that care is provided to those who need it while keeping health care providers and those in our community safe through social distancing,” Gritman Chief Information Officer Kane Francetich said.

You can also call the Gritman COVID-19 Hotline at 208-883-4109 to get answers to basic questions regarding COVID-19 symptoms, home treatment and testing guidelines. Please be patient as we may experience high call volumes. If we can’t answer your call immediately, leave a message and your call will be returned by a team member as soon as possible. You can also call Public Health—Idaho North Central District at 866-736-6632. If you are having a medical emergency, call 911.
