MOSCOW — Effective Dec. 1, Gritman Medical Center and Moscow Family Medicine will officially integrate in order to better serve the health needs of the region.
“Health care is a rapidly changing environment; it is very common for physicians and hospitals to come together to better serve patients, and it was time to do that here in our community,” GMC President and CEO Kara Besst said.
For the last several months, MFM and GMC leaders have worked to make sure the integration process is seamless for patients and their loved ones.
“We’re committed to strengthening integrated patient care in the communities we serve,” Besst said.
All MFM operations are being integrated into the GMC system, including MFM Downtown, MFM Westside, MFM Quickcare and University of Idaho Student Health. Clinic names, locations and providers will remain the same, however, patients will see changes in signage and branding, among other things, to align with Gritman.
“Both Gritman and Moscow Family Medicine share the common mission of doing what’s best for patients,” CEO of MFM Jeffrey Geier said. “We anticipate the integration will help attract more high-quality physicians to our region.”
