New leadership at MFM

Gritman Medical Center and MFM have welcomed two new leaders to our team: Director of Nursing Carolyn Allen and Practice Administrator Larinda Valdon.

Larinda Valdon

Carolyn came to Gritman in July after having served as a nurse manager in the Telemetry/Surgical In-patient and Intensive Care Unit at Northwest Specialty Hospital in Post Falls. Carolyn has completed master’s degrees in nursing and health care administration. Carolyn worked at Gritman from 2003 to 2006 in a variety of roles, including as a registered nurse in the Emergency Department and the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit; a critical care instructor; and director of education.

Larinda brings more than a decade of experience leading clinics, most recently at St. Luke’s in Meridian. She has a Master of Business Administration from Boise State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Finance/Accounting from Washington State University.

The addition of Allen and Valdon coincides with the arrival of five new physicians at MFM: Dr. Thomas Sprinkle at QuickCARE, Dr. Meghan Kusko and Dr. Jacques Bouchard at the downtown clinic, Dr. Jessica Bonnett at the Westside clinic and Dr. Jacob Christensen at University of Idaho Student Health.

“These are exciting times for Moscow Family Medicine,” Valdon said. “We have onboarded five new providers to meet our goal of addressing the need for better patient access for those living in our community as well as the students joining us at the University of Idaho. The new providers will allow us to properly staff our QuickCARE clinic and have providers dedicated to student/athletic health care needs.”

Both leaders are looking forward to working to make sure your experience at MFM is as positive as possible.

“We want to provide you with the best patient care we possibly can,” Valdon said. “That’s the goal — from the time you call in to the time you walk out of your appointment, streamlined, efficient and effective.”
