Gritman Medical Center’s Family Birth Center now offers the Novii Wireless Patch System, a noninvasive, belt-free wireless monitor system that tracks the heart rate for both the baby and mother. With no wires or straps to get in the way, it gives expecting mom’s the freedom and comfort to move and rest as they wish.
Novii securely and wirelessly communicates patient data, removing the need for cords between the patient and the fetal monitor.
The new device has been popular with patients. One Moscow mother of three said the new monitor – along with the great and attentive care she received from nurses in the Gritman Family Birth Center – made her most recent delivery the most comfortable she has had.
“It was such an upgrade over the old monitors,” she said.
Family Birth Center Director Jennifer Jones said the monitors offer increased mobility, comfort and freedom. The devices are waterproof and can be left in place during a bath or shower.
