Our licensed massage therapists (Idaho and Washington) can help you relieve stress, reduce muscle tension, enhance exercise performance and increase range of motion. Our massage therapy team provides the following services:
Gritman Medical Center’s licensed massage therapists are Board Certified in Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (BCTMB)—the highest voluntary credential attainable for massage therapists in the United States. Along with holding multiple specialty certifications, they are also professional members of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), raising the standard of patient outcomes.
Massage therapy can help improve the quality of life for those in hospice and palliative care. We partner with local hospice organizations to provide this service for hospice patients throughout Latah County. The Joint Commission has endorsed physical modalities, including massage therapy, as an alternative to opioids and other pain medications.
An increasing number of insurance companies are recognizing the benefits of massage therapy, offering coverage for massage therapy services. If you have received a referral for massage therapy from your physician, please call our insurance specialist at 208-883-4104 to verify your benefits and schedule an appointment.
If you are a new patient to Gritman Massage Therapy or if it has been more than 6 months since your last visit please print our health history packet. Please answer each question as completely as possible before arriving for your appointment.
